The March on Washington Film Festival (MOWFF) focuses on illuminating the untold events and unsung heroes of the American civil rights movement and inspiring renewed passion for activism. By leveraging the power of film, music, scholarship, and the arts, the Festival shares important and influential stories to connect the past, present, and future in the fight toward social change in America and throughout the world.

January
MLK Holiday Commemoration produced in partnership with The Apollo Theater and New York Public Radio. This afternoon includes a live taping of the podcast Notes From America with Kai Wright, along with interviews, keynotes, and musical performances, will be broadcast live at The Apollo on January 14, 2024, and also streamed on public radio stations nationwide on the King Holiday.
February
An Encore Presentation of the '23 Festival virtual discussion, From Marcus to Malcolm, exploring the pivotal roles of Marcus Garvey, Noble Drew Ali, Elojah Muhammad and Malcolm X, and their national organizations on racial equity from 1913 to the present. With Pulitzer Prize winning authorT amara Payne, and scholars Dr. Jose Pimienta-Bey and Dr. Zain Abdullah.
